West Maui Medical Testimonial Letters to SHPTA

A Note From Jan:
As many of you know, I am a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse.  I take care of premature or sick babies.

Fortunately, they got to go home together. With babies like this, we don’t have a “Golden Hour”. We don’t even have a “Golden Minute”. Medical staff specializing in the care of these babies need to be in the delivery room or take care of them within seconds after birth. The faster we get to the baby, the better the babies do. These babies do not do well when we have to ship them to Oahu. We don’t have that kind of time. We can only get a Maui NICU in a state-of-art full service hospital.

Please help me to help our premature or sick Maui babies. They deserve our best. Maui No Ka Oi.
